Evening meditation

I sat on the seiza bench in my meditation room for about 50 minutes. I tried to stay with the sensations of the breath at the nose, and feel the temperature difference there between the in and the out breath. After some time I decided to focus on the belly button and breathe in energy, MCO-style. This didn’t feel effective though and I quit and I returned to just staying with the breath. Focus wasn’t very strong. I also tried to use the time to do some targeted thinking about the issues I face. I noticed that the issues didn’t seem as grave as usual and that my mind was trying to reinstate the heaviness of the problems again. I stopped that process by blocking the train of thoughts because I don’t need Mind to dictate my experience; if things seem not as bad right now then that is What Is and that’s all there is to it.
