Morning meditation

When I woke up this morning I just remained in bed for 40 minutes and focused on the sensation of the breath at the nose. This went okay-ish and after a while I expanded the awareness to include all other objects in consciousness. This was actually easier than staying with the breath but nevertheless mind tended to wander. When I felt my awareness of thoughts and body was stable enough, I switched to being aware of being aware. This state is a bit slippery to maintain but it’s very important, I try to do this during the day too but that’s even harder. But this awareness of awareness is our true nature and that’s what we should identify with.
