In an earlier post I mentioned I had received a newsletter email with the subject “First Surrender. Then Act.” I see now that I actually got that email twice that day , probably an error by the sender. What a coincidence. Funny thing is , this subject line is the most perfect punchline I can think of should I have to make one for the book ‘Surrender Project’. ‘First surrender’ means : Surrender to what’s happening. When some event takes place that stirs you up, drop your judgement about it being bad ( or good!) and quiet down the voice that may be screaming in your head about fears , problems etc. When you are clear and able to respond skillfully , act.
